Core Facility Center “MTS 318.25 Materials Testing Machine” Scientific focus areas of the Center: experimental studies of the resistance of welded joints of structural steels and aluminum alloys to fatigue fracture at the stages of crack initiation and development under harmonic and multi-frequency loading; development of new and improvement of known methods of processing welded joints in order to increase their cyclic durability; development of computational and experimental methods for assessing the cyclic crack resistance of welded joints at the stages of stable growth of fatigue cracks, taking into account the application of the proposed methods of their inhibition; development of fracture mechanics approaches and criteria for assessing the resistance of welded joints of structural materials to quasi-brittle and ductile fracture.
