Technology/process dataset profile
Metadata profile for technology and process-oriented datasets, including process parameters, materials, equipment, experimental or simulation conditions, measured outputs, documentation and reuse requirements.
Resource type: Metadata profile
Hosted / supported by: FAIR Data Competence Center for Digital Materials Research
Purpose
This profile defines the minimum information needed to describe, document and reuse technology- or process-oriented materials datasets. It is intended for datasets related to welding, thermal treatment, deformation, manufacturing processes, testing procedures, process simulations and combined experimental-computational workflows.
What it contains
The profile covers the technological process, material system, equipment or workflow used, process parameters, experimental or simulation conditions, measured or calculated outputs, documentation of process steps, provenance information, authorship, licence and repository deposit information.
How it is used
Researchers, engineers, facility staff and data stewards use this profile when preparing process-related datasets for interpretation, comparison, validation, publication and reuse. It helps connect process parameters with material behaviour, experimental observations, simulation results and final data outputs.
